National COY Netherlands

We have a firm believe: Everyone has a role to play when it comes to climate change and young people are no exception. The LCOY Netherlands will provide a space where youth can explore the ways in which they relate to climate change and where they can live up to their agency – let it be in their private lifes, in their communities, or in global networks and the UN climate processes. Youth can learn fast and together we can adapt our actions to a rapidly changing world. This is our strength and the reason we will meet at the LCOY Netherlands.

Objectives and planned Outcomes

The LCOY Netherlands is guided by the three questions of the Talanoa Dialogue: Where are we? Where do we want to go? How do we get there? But we decided to add a fourth one What is my role in this? At the end of the conference, every participant will have engaged in these questions and will have found (some) ways to answer them. But climate change is bigger than a three day conference. So we want to connect to youth worldwide, to share our stories and to be inspired by the actions taken abroad.
